
Polk County Middle ran its winning streak to five matches on Monday, topping Flat Rock Middle 2-0 in a Blue Ridge Conference East Division match in Flat Rock.
The Wolverines recorded a 25-11, 25-17 victory, improving their record to 6-1. The Eagles fell to 0-6.
Polk Middle closed the first set by scoring the final 10 points, breaking away after holding a 15-11 lead. A run of nine straight points in the second set powered the Wolverines to the win in that set.
The Wolverines conclude their current road trip on Wednesday, traveling to Brevard Middle for a 4:30 p.m. showdown with the Blue Devils.
