Polk County now sits alone atop the Western Highlands Conference volleyball standings thanks to a 3-1 win Tuesday at Mountain Heritage.

The Wolverines captured a 25-10, 24-26, 25-12, 25-16 victory in a matchup of league co-leaders. Polk is now 12-3 overall, 5-0 in WHC play, with Mountain Heritage dropping to 5-9, 4-1.

Grace Lauer had 16 kills and four blocks for Polk, with Meadow Becker adding eight kills and three blocks. Sydney Waldman finished with 37 assists.

Carolina Castillo had 16 digs, with Karla Olguin addin seven. Kristen Hall finishe with six digs and five kills while Marilyn Castillo had five kills and four aces.

Mireya Roman had five kills and three digs for Polk County, which hosts Hendersonville on Wednesday in a non-conference battle.
