Polk County Middle School’s volleyball team continued its dominant run through the Blue Ridge Conference on Monday, sweeping Hendersonville Middle in straight sets 25-8, 25-8 to remain undefeated at the midway point of its conference schedule.
The Wolverines (8-0) wasted no time asserting their authority in the match, opening with a blistering 11-0 run behind Kenzie Alm’s serving prowess. Alm reeled off 10 consecutive service points to set the tone for what would become another commanding performance from the division leaders.
The second set saw Hendersonville Middle (1-6) show brief signs of life, staying within striking distance at 11-8. However, Polk County quickly regained control after forcing a side out. Alexus Wingo then stepped to the service line and delivered 13 straight points to close out the match, showcasing the kind of serving execution that has become a hallmark of Polk’s success this season.

The victory maintains Polk Middle’s perfect record and positions them strongly heading into Wednesday’s crucial Blue Ridge Conference East Division matchup at Rugby Middle.
In junior varsity action, Polk Middle was equally impressive, claiming a decisive 25-3 victory to complete the program’s sweep of the day’s matches.
