Polk County continued its winning ways Thursday night, sweeping Mountain Heritage in straight sets in a Western Highlands Conference volleyball clash at Polk.
The Wolverines (5-3, 2-1) extended their winning streak to three matches with the 25-23, 25-21, 25-23 win while showcasing a solid offensive performance led by sophomore Reeve Carroll, who recorded a season-high 14 kills alongside 12 digs.
Junior Akeela Cunningham turned in an impressive all-around performance with 11 kills, three aces and a team-high 24 digs. Senior Charley Dusenbury added eight kills and 14 assists while maintaining her consistent presence at the net.

The Wolverines’ sophomore trio made significant contributions, with Abby Lewis distributing 19 assists while adding three kills and seven digs. Elena Greve and Jill Brown combined for four kills, with Brown notching two crucial blocks.
Polk County’s defense proved especially effective, with five players recording 10 or more digs. Aslyn Scruggs contributed 10 digs and added a kill while Junie Mitchell and Riyah Schroyer strengthened the back row with three digs each.
The victory keeps Polk County in strong contention in the Western Highlands Conference race, while Mountain Heritage (4-5, 1-0) suffered its first conference setback of the season.
The Wolverines will look to extend their winning streak when they host conference rival Madison on Tuesday in another crucial WHC matchup.
