Wolverine JVs top Avery to extend winning streak

Make it six wins in a row for Polk County’s junior varsity volleyball after the Wolverines swept past Avery in action Tuesday at Polk.

Polk County posted a 25-10, 28-26 victory, improving to 8-3 overall and 3-0 in Western Highlands Conference matches.

Elysia Smith had three kills, eight assists, seven digs and four aces for Polk, with Stella Tallon adding three kills, three digs and two aces. Lisa Jones also served three aces.

Ella Waldman had 10 digs, with Cameron Ward adding five digs. Amberlyn Scruggs had three assists, four digs and two aces.

Polk County is back in action on Wednesday, hosting Brevard at 5 p.m.
