Polk County’s junior varsity rebounded from Wednesday’s loss to Brevard with an easy straight-set win Thursday over Mitchell.

The Wolverines thrilled a home crowd with a 25-19, 25-3 win, improving to 10-4 overall, 4-0 in Western Highlands Conference matches.

Elysia Smith had six kills and eight assists for Polk, with Sara Wilson adding four kills and four digs. Cameron Ward also had four kills.

Amberlyn Scruggs finished with 10 assists and four digs, with Lisa Jones posting four aces and Stella Tallon adding three aces.

Ella Waldman had 11 digs for the Wolverines, who travel Tuesday to Mountain Heritage.
