Polk County’s junior varsity upped its record to 4-3 on Thursday with a straight-set win over Shelby in volleyball action at Polk.

The Wolverines claimed a 25-16, 25-9 win, their fourth in the past five games.

Sara Wilson served eight aces for Polk County, with Kayla Stechschulte serving four and Annslee Kilgore serving three. Cameron Ward had five kills, with Lisa Jones and Ella Waldman each finishing with three digs.

Elysia Smith and Amberlyn Scruggs each had five assists for Polk, which returns to the court on Thursday at home against Enka.
