Polk County’s junior varsity returned to Mountain Foothills Conference play Thursday and returned to its winning ways with a straight-set triumph over East Rutherford.
The Wolverines, coming off a three-set loss to A.C. Reynolds, handed the Cavaliers a 25-12, 25-15 defeat in a conference match at home, improving to 7-4 overall on the season and 5-0 in league matches.
Elena Greve had four kills for Polk County, with Louisa Wood recording three kills. Sofie Abrahamsen finished with two kills.

Abby Lewis had 10 assists, with Claire Lawrence delivering eight digs and two aces. Zulem Ramirez and Ava Evans each added seven digs, with Olivia Kirk recording five.
Polk County will remain at home on Tuesday to face Brevard in a 4:30 p.m. match.
