Landrum’s junior varsity earned a straight-set victory over Polk County on Wednesday, defeating the Wolverines 25-19, 25-17 at Polk County.
Despite strong individual performances from several Wolverines, Polk County (8-6) couldn’t overcome a determined Landrum squad in the non-conference matchup.
Sophomore Claire Lawrence continued her consistent play for Polk County, recording nine kills and 11 digs, close to her season averages. Freshman Camdyn Israel-Garrett had an impressive defensive showing with two blocks and 12 digs while distributing 17 assists.

Emily Nance proved effective from the service line, recording four aces alongside three kills and nine digs. Olivia Kirk added two aces and anchored the defense with 14 digs, while Lorali Wing contributed three kills and a block.
Madalyn Varnadore (two kills), Jackie Sankey (one kill) and Ava Evans (one ace, four digs) also contributed for Polk County in the setback.
The Wolverines return to Western Highlands Conference action on Thursday, traveling to face Hendersonville.
