Undefeated West Henderson continued its perfect season on Wednesday, sweeping Polk County in three games in a non-conference match at Polk.
The Falcons, 3A state finalists last season, improved to 11-0 with a 25-15, 25-22, 25-14 victory. West Henderson has yet to lose a set this season.
Polk County dropped to 11-4 with the loss, but the biggest blow of the evening may have come in the final set as senior hitter Ashley Love suffered an ankle injury. With freshman Ansley Lynch also injured, the Wolverines finished the game with seven players.

Polk County will hope either Love, Lynch or both can return for Thursday’s key Western Highlands Conference home match with Mountain Heritage, set for 5:30 p.m. Polk County currently has a two-game lead in the WHC standings over Mountain Heritage and Hendersonville and could take a huge step toward a conference title by defeating the Cougars.
Love had 18 digs for Polk County, with Kendall Hall finished with 16 digs, Reagan Waddell adding 10 digs, and Lauren Ketwitz eight digs. Addie Lynch had five kills and six digs, with Savannah Ross finishing with 13 assists and 11 digs.
