Owen eked out a 2-1 win over Polk County on Tuesday in junior varsity volleyball action at Polk.

The Wolverines dropped to 11-8 overall, 5-2 in Western Highlands Conference matches with the 22-25, 25-18, 15-13 loss.

Amberlyn Scruggs had 14 digs and 10 assists for Polk, with Elysia Smith finishing with 10 digs, eight assists and six kills.

Sara Wilson had six kills and eight digs, with Ella Waldman recording 22 digs. Annslee Kilgore and Stella Tallon each had seven digs.

Polk County is back on the court on Thursday, traveling to Avery for another Western Highlands Conference clash.
