Six straight wins for Polk JVs with victory at East Rutherford

Polk County Middle’s junior varsity extended its winning streak to six on Thursday, topping East Rutherford 2-0 in a Mountain Foothills 7 Conference match in Bostic.

The Wolverines rolled to a 25-14, 25-15 victory, improving to 7-6 overall, 5-0 in conference matches.

Beiji Olivari had seven kills and six digs for Polk, with Riayh Schroyer adding six kills and seven digs.

Junie Mitchell finished with 17 digs, with Aslyn Scruggs recording 12 digs and Ava Evans adding eight digs. Scruggs had 13 assists and Mitchell added four aces.

Polk County will remain on the road on Tuesday, traveling to Brevard for a 4:30 p.m. match.
