Polk County Middle wasted little time taking control Tuesday, using a series of long serving runs to roll past Asheville Christian Academy 25-7, 25-10 in a non-conference match at Polk Middle.
The opening set was tied at 2-2 before the Wolverines began to pull away. Adalyn Painter served Polk through five straight points, Izzy Irwin later did the same and Ava Caristo followed with six consecutive service points as Polk turned the tie into a 20-4 advantage.
Polk finished off the 25-7 win, then remained firmly in control throughout the second set on the way to the 25-10 victory.
