Second-set thriller lifts Pisgah past Polk JVs

Pisgah outlasted Polk County in a thrilling second set Monday to claim a 2-0 victory over the Wolverines in junior varsity volleyball action in Canton.

The Bears notched a 25-17, 27-25 win in the season opener for both squads.

Junie Mitchell had nine digs for Polk County, with Beija Olivari adding five and Ava Evans, Akeela Cunningham and Riyah Schroyer each adding three.

Chayse Hagins and Cunningham each recorded a kill for Polk.

The Wolverines return to the court on Thursday, traveling to Crest for a 5 p.m. match.
