Polk’s Waldman earns All-WNC selection

Polk County senior Ella Waldman has been named to the All-Western North Carolina volleyball team by the Citizen-Times in Asheville.

Waldman, the Mountain Foothills 7 Conference Defensive Player of the Year, earned first-team honors as a libero. Waldman finished the season with 437 digs and 14 aces in helping lead the Wolverines to a share of the MF7 regular-season title and a record-tying 22 wins.

West Henderson sophomore Emma Bryson was named the All-WNC Player of the Year, with Asheville Christian’s Torri Render named the Coach of the Year.
