Polk County's Ada Kelley had four kills and three digs in Monday's win

Polk County’s Mountain Foothills 7 Conference schedule promises to be a challenging 12-match grind.

The Wolverines’ non-conference slate should have them ready for that road ahead.

Polk County continued its non-conference success against larger schools, sweeping A.C. Reynolds 25-12, 25-12, 25-17 Monday in Fairview.

The Wolverines improved to 6-1 entering Tuesday’s conference opener against undefeated Patton. That match will start around 6;30 p.m. and will be shown live on NFHS Network.

Reynolds dropped to 3-1 with the defeat.

Amberlyn Scruggs had seven of Polk County’s 13 service aces and also had 13 assists and six digs, with Zaelea Eller adding eight assists and five digs. Ella Waldman finished with 14 digs.

Sophia Overholt had seven kills and eight digs, with Mia Bradley recording six kills and three digs. Morgan Yoder had five kills while Elena Carroll and Ada Kelley each had four kills and three digs.
