Polk Middle volleyball sweeps Hendersonville Middle

Polk County Middle School rolled to a straight-set win Monday over Hendersonville Middle, avenging a pair of losses last season to the Bearcats.

The Wolverines notched a 25-5, 25-15 win at Polk County Middle, the victory improving Polk County’s record to 4-1. The Wolverines journey Wednesday to Flat Rock.

“I think Hendersonville is one of the better teams in the league, so for us to win in straight sets, that’s a good sign,” said Polk Middle head coach Matthew Russell. “We’re heading in the right direction, at least.

“The big thing for us today was our serves. Kristen Hall, Sydney Metcalf and Mireya Roman all got on rolls serving, and that made it easy.”
