Polk County Middle took a close first set, then rolled to an easy second-set victory Monday to hand Flat Rock Middle a 2-0 loss in Blue Ridge Conference volleyball play at Polk.
The Wolverines (5-0) led most of the first set, but were never able to pull away from the Eagles (0-5) until the final points of that set.
That changed in the second set as Polk Middle scored the first five points of the set, then reeled off seven straight points to grab a 14-3 lead and take command of the set.

The Wolverines will face a much tougher test on Wednesday as Brevard Middle visits for a 4:30 p.m. match.
