Polk Middle scores road sweep to remain undefeated

Polk County Middle School’s volleyball team overcame an early deficit Wednesday to sweep Apple Valley Middle, extending its unbeaten start to the season with a straight-set victory.

The first set belonged entirely to Polk Middle (5-0), highlighted by Breelyn Morrison’s remarkable serving performance. Morrison reeled off 12 consecutive service points as the Wolverines dominated the frame en route to completing the sweep with a 25-6 triumph.

The Knights (0-4) fought to a 3-3 start to open the second set. But the Wolverines scored 10 of the next 11 points, building a 13-4 advantage, and steadily pulled away for the 25-10 win.

Polk County’s junior varsity earned a 25-13 triumph.
