Polk lands top seed for MF7 volleyball tourney
Polk County will be the top seed for the Mountain Foothills 7 Conference Volleyball Tournament, winning a draw Saturday to receive that top spot.
The Wolverines (20-2) split the league’s regular-season title with Brevard and split the two regular-season meetings between the teams. That led to Saturday’s drawing for the top seed in the tourney, which begins Monday.
By winning the draw, Polk County received a first-round bye and will face either Hendersonville or R-S Central in Tuesday’s semifinal. That match will begin at 6 p.m. and admission will be $7.
The tournament championship match will be held Wednesday. Polk County will host that match with a win on Tuesday.
