
Polk County’s junior varsity dispatched Hendersonville in straight sets Tuesday, avenging a loss to the Bearcats in their first meeting earlier this season.
The Wolverines claimed a 25-16, 25-16 win, improving to 11-4 overall, 6-2 in Mountain Foothills 7 Conference matches.
Akeela Cunningham had three kills and seven digs, with Hayden Blackwell recording two kills, three aces and seven digs.
Lexi Beiler also had two kills while Charley Dusenbury had 10 assists and four digs. Aslyn Scruggs added three digs while Junie Mitchell had two assists and two digs.
Polk County is back in action Wednesday, hosting R-S Central for another conference match at 5 p.m.
