Polk County's Lisa Jones digs an Avery shot to a teammate during Wednesday's match

Polk County’s junior varsity extended its winning streak to six matches on Wednesday with a 2-0 sweep of Avery in a Western Highlands Conference home match.

The Wolverines claimed a 25-11, 25-14 victory, improving to 6-3 overall, 6-1 in WHC play. Polk County hosts Owen, who handed the Wolverines their lone conference loss, on Saturday.

Elysia Smith, Cameron Ward, Zaelea Eller and Caroline Taylor all had three kills for Polk County. Smith also had 10 assists and two aces.

Elena Carroll, Lisa Jones and Annslee Kilgore each had four digs, with Anna Morton finishing with three. Carroll also had two aces, as did Ward.

Eller added six assists.
