Polk JVs score 10th win with sweep of Patton

Polk County’s junior varsity returned to the win column Thursday, rolling to a 2-0 victory over Patton in Morganton.

The 25-11, 25-10 victory improved the Wolverines’ record to 10-4 overall, 5-2 in Mountain Foothills 7 Conference play.

Lexi Beiler had nine kills and nine digs for Polk County, with Thais Vorbe and Hayden Blackwell each adding three kills. Blackwell also had six digs and three aces.

Charley Dusenbury had seven assists and six digs while Junie Mitchell finished with eight assists and three aces.

Akeela Cunningham had five digs and two kills, Riyah Schroyer had five digs and Aslyn Scruggs added four digs for Polk, which will host Hendersonville on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
