Polk JVs push past Chase in home finale

Polk County’s junior varsity held off Chase on Thursday to take a 2-1 victory in its final home match of the season.

The Wolverines posted a 21-25, 25-11, 15-8 win, improving to 13-5 overall. Polk closes its season with three road matches, the first of those Tuesday at East Rutherford.

Lexi Beiler had nine kills and 12 digs for Polk, with Hayden Blackwell notching seven kills and six digs. Akeela Cunningham added five kills.

Charley Dusenbury had nine assists, five digs and three kills, with Thais Vorbe recording three kills.

Junie Mitchell added 15 assists for the Wolverines while Aslyn Scruggs had seven digs. Mikala Fisher had six digs, Riyah Schroyer had four digs and Mahaley Wilson added tow kills.
