Polk County’s junior varsity rallied Wednesday to nip Pisgah 2-1 in a non-conference volleyball matchup at Polk.

The Wolverines earned a hard-fought 18-25, 25-23, 15-13 win, improving their record to 8-7. The Bears fell to 11-3 and saw a four-game winning streak end.

Riyah Schroyer had six kills, with Mahaley Wilson adding five kills. Louisa Wood, Beija Olivari and Chayse Hagins each had two kills.

Aslyn Scruggs finished with 14 assists.

The Wolverines are back in action on Thursday, hosting Patton at 4:30 p.m. in a Mountain Foothills 7 Conference matchup.
