Polk JVs notch another conference win, sweeping R-S Central

Polk County steamed to another Mountain Foothills 7 Conference win Wednesday, sweeping R-S Central in junior varsity volleyball action at Polk.

The Wolverines took a 25-15, 25-14 win, improving their record to 12-4 overall, 7-2 in conference matches.

Lexi Beiler had 14 kills to pace the Polk offense, adding four digs. Charley Dusenbury had three kills and eight assists while Akeela Cunningham had two kills and five digs.

Junie Mitchell had seven assists while Hayden Blackwell had five assists. Mahaley Wilson served five aces for the Wolverines, Aslyn Scruggs had five digs and Mikala Fisher had four digs.

Next up for the Wolverines is a home non-conference match on Tuesday with West Henderson. That match begins at 5 p.m. and can be seen live on NFHS Network.
