Polk JVs fight back to nip Crest

Polk County’s junior varsity engineered a gritty 2-1 win Tuesday over Crest in a non-conference home match.

The Wolverines battled back from a first-set loss for a 22-25, 25-18, 15-13 win, improving to 2-1 on the season. All three matches have lasted three sets.

Reeve Carroll had 11 kills and 18 digs in the win, with Louisa Wood delivering seven kills and 10 digs. Jill Brown had five kills and eight digs.

Abby Lewis had 24 assists and 15 digs in the win, with Claire Lawrence posting 11 digs. Ava Evans finished with nine digs, with Sofie Abrahamsen adding eight.

Polk County is back in action Thursday, hosting West Henderson in a 4:30 p.m. match.
