Polk County’s junior varsity claimed victory Tuesday in its Western Highlands Conference opener, downing Madison 2-0 in volleyball action at Polk.
The Wolverines earned a 25-13, 25-22 win, improving to 6-3 overall, 1-0 in WHC play.
Elysia Smith had 10 kills, 11 assists, four aces and eight digs for the Wolverines, with Amberlyn Scruggs adding 11 assists and four aces. Ella Waldman had 12 digs and four aces while Sara Wilson finished with four kills and Annslee Kilgore had four digs.
