Polk JVs dominate Patton in conference win

Polk County’s junior varsity rolled to a 2-0 sweep Thursday of Patton in a matchup of Mountain Foothills 7 Conference teams in Morganton.

The Wolverines raced to a 25-9, 25-10 victory, improving their record to 8-6 overall and 6-1 in conference matches.

Elena Greve led Polk with six kills, with Reeve Carroll adding four and Jill Brown, Sofie Abrahamsen and Louisa Wood each adding two.

Carroll had seven digs, with Greve adding four. Abby Lewis had 13 assists for the Wolverines.

Polk is back in action Tuesday, hosting Hendersonville Middle in a 4:30 p.m. match.
