Polk JVs blast past Hilltoppers

Polk County’s junior varsity rolled to a 2-0 sweep of R-S Central on Wednesday in a Mountain Foothills 7 Conference home match.

The Wolverines (10-6, 8-1) claimed a 25-19, 25-22 victory for their third straight triumph.

Reeve Carroll had 10 kills and 16 digs to lead Polk, with Sofie Abrahamsen and Louisa Wood each recording four kills and Elena Greve and Jill Brown each adding two.

Abby Lewis had 20 assists and nine digs, with Zulem Ramirez recording sic digs and Claire Lawrence adding five.

Polk County is set to next be in action on Monday, hosting Landrum in a 4:30 p.m. match.
