East Rutherford handed Polk County’s junior varsity volleyball team a 25-15, 25-19 nonconference loss Wednesday in Bostic.
Alia Vorbe led the Polk attack with eight kills, while the Wolverines finished with 14 kills as a team.
Polk had several strong defensive numbers despite the loss. Lily Holt recorded a team-high 20 digs, with Breelyn Morrison adding 19 and Camdyn Israel-Garrett finishing with 12.

Israel-Garrett also handed out 11 assists.
East Rutherford improved to 14-5 with the victory. Polk County fell to 12-7 overall and remains 8-2 in Western Highlands Conference play.
The Wolverines return to conference play Thursday at Avery.
