Polk County tuned up for Thursday’s Western Highlands Conference showdown with Hendersonville with a straight-set win Tuesday over Owen in Swannanoa.

The Wolverines cruised to a 25-11, 25-8, 25-9 victory to improve their record to 16-5 overall, 10-1 in WHC play. Polk County hosts Hendersonville on Thursday with the winner taking the WHC regular-season title.

Georgia Garrett had 15 assists, 11 digs and five aces for Polk County, with Lauren Ketwitz adding 11 digs and four aces and Kendall Hall finishing with 14 digs. Addie Lynch had nine kills and 13 digs, with Reagan Waddell adding seven kills and three aces, Cameron Capozzi finishing with five kills and five digs and Ansley Lynch posting four blocks and four aces.

Owen dropped to 1-20 overall, 1-11 with the loss.
