Polk County’s Kristen Hall had 14 digs and seven kills in Tuesday’s victory

Polk County picked up its second straight road win on Tuesday, downing Asheville Christian Academy 3-1 in non-conference volleyball play in Swannanoa.

The Wolverines posted a 26-24, 25-16, 22-25, 25-16 win to improve to 2-0.

Grace Lauer had 11 kills for Polk County, with Marilyn Castillo adding seven kills, 12 digs and four aces. Kristen Hall finished with seven kills, 14 digs and four aces and Mireya Roman had seven kills.

Sydney Waldman had 37 assists, Carolina Castillo had 31 digs and Marissa Twitty finished with five blocks, three of those solo, for the Wolverines, who make their home debut on Thursday against East Henderson in a 6 p.m. match.
