Owen rallied from a first-set loss Tuesday to hand Polk County a 2-1 defeat in junior varsity volleyball action in Swannanoa.
The Wolverines (0-3, 0-1) claimed a 25-18 victory in the first set, but Owen fought back to take the second set 25-21, then eked out a 15-11 win in the final set to claim the Western Highlands Conference match.
Caroline Taylot recorded 16 digs, four kills and three blocks for Polk, with Elysia Smith notching four kills, nine assists and six digs.
Zaelea Eller had seven digs, seven assists and three kills, with Anna Morton posting six digs, four aces and a kill.
Elena Carroll had 20 digs for Polk, which is slated to make its home debut on Friday at 5 p.m. against Madison.
