Overholt named to All-WNC volleyball squad; four earn honorable mention

Polk County senior setter Kara Overholt has been chosen for the Asheville Citizen-Times All-WNC volleyball squad.

Overholt, the Western Highlands Conference player of the year, finished th season with 816 assists, that total ranking 10th-best in the state according to MaxPreps. She handled 1,571 balls during the season with just 17 errors. She finished fourth on the team in digs, second in blocks, led the team in aces with 64 and was also third on the team in kills with 126.

Teammates Sarah Phipps, Kendall Hall, Ashley Love and Lily Owens received all-WNC honorable mention.
