Mountain Heritage’s junior varsity downed Polk County in straight sets Tuesday, taking a 25-21, 25-23 win in Western Highlands Conference action in Burnsville.
The loss drops Polk County’s JV squad to 8-8 on the season while Mountain Heritage improved to 6-5.
Claire Lawrence led Polk County’s attack with seven kills and added eight digs. Lorali Wing contributed six kills, performing above her season average of 3.1 kills per match.

Setter Camdyn Israel-Garrett paced the Wolverine offense with 11 assists while adding nine digs and an ace. Ava Evans recorded nine digs in the defensive effort while Emily Nance chipped in three kills and an ace.
The Wolverines won’t have long to dwell on the loss, as they return to action Wednesday hosting West Henderson in a non-conference matchup.
