Polk County High School’s annual LLABYELLOV tournament is set for Friday night, bringing the school’s popular men’s volleyball fundraiser to a new community-friendly time slot.

The event, whose name is “volleyball” spelled backward, will begin at 5 p.m. Friday at Polk County High School.

The tournament features teams made up entirely of male students at Polk County High, with each squad coached by members of the Wolverines’ varsity volleyball team. This year’s field includes Spike Tyson, Notorious D.I.G, Molly Hill Elite and Tip Tip Tip Sahur.

In past years, the event has been held during homeroom and school hours. This year’s move to Friday evening gives the community a chance to come out, enjoy the action and support the Polk County volleyball program.

The tournament will be played in a round-robin format with two nets in use at a time. Matches are scheduled in three rounds beginning at 5 p.m.

Admission is $5, with concessions available throughout the evening. Donations will also be accepted, with all proceeds benefiting the Polk County volleyball program.
