Hendersonville’s junior varsity volleyball team continued its strong season Thursday, sweeping past Polk County in straight sets 25-19, 25-17 in Western Highlands Conference action.
The loss dropped the Wolverines’ record to 6-7 while Hendersonville improved to 11-3 on the season.
Despite the setback, several Wolverines delivered solid individual performances. Sophomore Claire Lawrence remained a bright spot for Polk County, recording eight kills and 11 digs along with an ace. Lawrence has been a consistent force for the Wolverines this season, averaging nearly eight kills per match.

Sophomore Olivia Kirk anchored the defense with 13 digs while setter Camdyn Israel-Garrett distributed 12 assists and added seven digs and an ace. Jackie Sankey added two kills.
Emily Nance contributed across the stat sheet with three kills, five digs, an ace and a block, while Lorali Wing added a kill and a block. Ava Evans chipped in seven digs in the defensive effort.
The Wolverines will look to snap their two-match losing streak when they return to the court Tuesday, hosting Owen in another Western Highlands Conference matchup.
