First-set squeaker helps lift East Henderson JVs past Polk

East Henderson eked out a first-set win and went on Monday to hand Polk County a 2-0 loss in junior varsity volleyball action in Flat Rock.

The Eagles claimed a 26-24, 25-20 victory, dropping the Wolverines to 2-0 this season. Polk County is slated to open Western Highlands Conference play on Dec. 1 at Mitchell.

Lisa Jones had nine digs for Polk County, with Annslee Kilgore and Elysia Smith each finishing with seven kills. Smith also had four assists and two kills.

Zaelea Eller had six digs, three assists and two acces, with Cameron Ward also posting six digs and two kills. Anna Morton and Anna Jackson each had four digs.
