Enka JVs score home win over Polk County

Enka checked Polk County’s hopes for a road win Wednesday, defeating the Wolverines 2-0 in non-conference junior varsity volleyball action in Enka.

The Jets improved to 13-2 with the 26-24, 25-16 victory. Polk County fell to 13-7 ahead of its season finale Thursday at Brevard.

Lexi Beiler had 11 kills and 14 digs, with Thais Vorbe adding three kills. Hayden Blackwell had 12 digs, two kills and two aces.

Charley Dusenbury finished with 11 digs and three assists while June Mitchell had nine assists and four digs.

Aslyn Scruggs had 10 digs, with Mahaley Wilson and Riyah Schroyer each adding six and Mikala Fisher recording five.
