Brevard held off a surging Polk County on Tuesday, outlasting the Wolverine junior varsity 25-23, 15-25, 15-9 in a Mountain Foothills 7 Conference matchup at Polk.
The Wolverines (7-5, 5-1) dropped the close first set, but then took command of the second set midway through and pulled away to the win.
The teams were tied at 9-9 in the deciding third set before Brevard (13-0) reeled off the final six points of the match to claim the victory.

Reeve Carroll had nine kills and 12 digs for Polk County, with Jill Brown adding four kills and Elene Greve finishing with three.
Abby Lewis had 12 assists and 11 digs, with Claire Lawrence recording eight digs and Zulem Ramirez adding seven.
Polk County will travel Wednesday to Enka for a 4:30 p.m. non-conference match.
