Brevard JVs nip Polk, end Wolverines’ winning streak

Brevard outlasted Polk County’s junior varsity on Thursday, edging the Wolverines 2-1 in a matchup at Polk County.

The setback snapped Polk’s nine-match winning streak and the Wolverines end the season with a 14-5 record, including 9-2 in Mountain Foothills 7 Conference matches. Both losses were in three sets to Brevard.

Kylie Lewis had six kills and seven digs for Polk County, with Hayden Blackwell adding three kills, seven assists and six digs.

Sidney Carroll had eight assists and seven digs, with Lexi Beiler recording 10 digs. Jocelynn Rameirz had six digs and Anna Jackson added five.
