Bearcats top Wolverines in four sets in battle of WHC volleyball powers

Hendersonville scored the initial blow in the battle of Western Highlands Conference volleyball heavyweights, handing Polk County a 3-1 loss Tuesday night in Pardue Gymnasium.

The Bearcats earned a 25-23, 18-25, 25-22, 25-17 victory in a matchup of WHC co-leaders. Polk County falls to 9-4 overall, 5-1 in conference play, with Hendersonville now 8-6, 6-0. The two teams meet again Oct. 13 at Polk.

Addie Lynch had 11 kills and 20 digs for the Wolverines, with Reagan Waddell finishing with 11 kills and 15 digs. Kendall Hall had 21 digs and three aces, with Lauren Ketwitz adding 20 assists and 18 digs and Georgia Garrett contributing nine assists and 12 digs.
