Polk County's Hayden Blackwell focuses on a return during Wednesday's match

Asheville Christian Academy’s junior varsity rallied for a 2-1 victory Wednesday over Polk County in the Wolverines’ home and regular-season opener.

The Lions claimed a 17-25, 25-19, 15-9 victory in a match moved to Polk due to a leaking roof at ACA,

Elena Carroll had 16 digs and 10 kills for Polk County, with Lexi Beiler finishing with nine digs and Hayden Blackwell adding six digs and three kills.

Jocelyn Ramirez had 10 digs while Sidney Carroll had 12 assists, five digs, three kills and two aces.

Polk County is back in action on Thursday, traveling to East Henderson for a 5 p.m. non-conference match. The game will be streamed live via the NFHS Network.
