ACA edges Polk JVs in straight-set match

Polk County’s junior varsity volleyball team stayed close throughout both sets Tuesday before Asheville Christian Academy claimed a 25-23, 25-22 victory in Swannanoa.

Alia Vorbe led the Wolverines with six kills while adding seven digs and three aces. Camdyn Israel-Garrett had three kills, seven assists and four digs.

Lily Holt paced Polk County defensively with 10 digs, while ScottLynn Whiteside added two kills, five digs and three aces. Emily Dotson had four digs and two aces, and Breelyn Morrison finished with three kills.

The loss dropped the Wolverines to 2-3. Polk County returns home Thursday to face Owen
