Polk County's Ella Waldman had 13 digs in Saturday's loss

A rare Saturday morning match didn’t fall Polk County’s way Saturday as the Wolverines dropped a 3-0 decision to West Henderson in non-conference volleyball action in Mills River.

The Falcons (2-0) took a 25-22, 25-13, 25-16 victory, dropping Polk County to 1-2 on the season.

Sophia Overholt had five kills and six digs for the Wolverines, with Mia Bradley adding five kills and Ada Kelley returning from an injury to add five kills and 12 digs.

Ella Waldman had 13 digs, with Zaelea Eller finishing with 10 assists and Amberlyn Scruggs posting six assists.

Morgan Yoder had five blocks for Polk County, which travels Monday to Enka for another non-conference match that is scheduled to be aired on the NFHS Network.
