Polk Middle’s track and field teams concluded their season Tuesday at the Blue Ridge Conference Championship meet at North Henderson High School.
The Wolverines’ boys finished eighth with 14 points while the girls placed ninth with 26 points. Macon Middle swept both team titles, with the boys scoring 145 points and the girls 85.25 points.
For the Polk Middle girls, Sophie Wilson finished third in the discus (69-10) and fourth in the shot put (31-02.00). Addie Blackwell placed fourth in the long jump with a leap of 13-04.50.

Daniela Chavez placed sixth in the 200-meter dash (30.83), and Ethne Broyles finished 17th (31.82). Hadley Pereira took 12th in the 100 (14.63), TyLaisha Johnson was 22nd (15.01) and Rylie Klimstra placed 24th (15.07).
Nora Williams finished 10th in the 800 (2:55.68), and Heidi Klootwyk was 18th in the long jump (9-08.00). Zoey Conner placed 16th in the shot put (24-11.50), and Macie Pegg took 12th in the discus (52-04).
The Wolverines’ 4×100 relay finished seventh (59.54) and the 4×200 placed fourth (2:04.56).
Rhys Jackson led Polk Middle’s boys with a third-place finish in the 800 meters, running 2:22.91. Angel Roman placed ninth in the triple jump (32-00.00) and 13th in the 110-meter hurdles (19.92).
Ian Lewis finished eighth in the 100-meter dash (12.67) and seventh in the 200 (25.94). Foster Meyer placed 13th in the 100 (12.89), Quinn Schilling was 24th in the 100 (13.84), Lukas Atkins finished 22nd in the 200 (28.67), and Kelton Kitchen placed 28th in the 1600 (6:09.02).
Charlie Erdesky tied for ninth in the high jump (4-08.00), Atkins was 15th in the long jump (15-01.00), and Schilling took 16th in the discus (89-09).
Polk County’s 4×100 relay team placed ninth (53.21), the 4×200 finished sixth (1:52.79), and the 4×400 took seventh (4:21.90).
