Polk Middle's Sofie Abrahamsen takes aim at the plate during Wednesday's game

Polk County Middle concluded its softball season on Wednesday with a come-from-behind 15-12 victory over Hendersonville Middle at Polk County Recreation Complex.

The Wolverines finished the regular season with a 5-8 record while the Bearcats closed at 2-10.

Polk Middle finished fourth in the Blue Ridge Conference East Division standings and will travel Monday to Macon Middle for the opening round of the BRC Tournament. Macon enters as the top seed from the West Division.

The game will begin at 4:30 p.m.
