Polk County senior goalkeeper Grayson Ball stops a shot during Thursday's practice

Polk County’s boys soccer squad hit the practice field early Thursday morning as the Wolverines continue to prepare for the upcoming season.

Head coach Josh Trejo continues to look for additional team members with hopes of fielding a full junior varsity squad. The Wolverines are scheduled to open the regular season on August 16.

Polk County will have its first action against an opponent on Saturday as the Wolverines travel to A.C. Reynolds for preseason scrimmage play. Polk will face Enka at 11:15 a.m. and Erwin at 2:15 p.m.

Admission for the scrimmage is $3, with that ticket good for the entire day of play.
