Polk County kicked off its preseason scrimmage schedule on Friday, hosting three teams for an evening of action in G.M. Tennant Stadium.
Blue Ridge, R-S Central and the Greenville Hurricanes took turns facing both the Wolverine varsity and junior varsity in short, controlled scrimmages. Polk County fared well, matching scores with R-S Central and Blue Ridge and topping Greenville.
The Wolverines travel Friday to Chapman for a 7:30 p.m. scrimmage against the host Panthers before opening the regular season on August 21 at Chase.
